Know Your Skin Care

Also known as alpha hydroxy acids, they are powerful  skincare ingredients.  Including glycolic, lactic, citric , kojic, l-ascorbic acid (Vit. C),  linoleic and tartaric acids just to name a few!  They can help with hyperpigmentation, fine lines, and even shrink large pores if used consistently.   These powerful antioxidants, not only help refine the skin, but protect it as well.  AHAs also help us to fight off free radicals found in our daily encounters with air pollution.  

You can find these highly sought after exfoliants in quality skin cleansers, serums and moisturizers and even some toners.   To start, try a 10 to 15% strength  of an AHA like a Vitamin C & Hyaluronic Acid serum to avoid irritation, ‚Äčand work your way up to a 20 to 30% professional or medical grade AHA. AHAs can be used during the day or part of your night time routine.  As your Aesthetician, I can help you determine which would be best for your skin needs.
